Divali Celebrations!

Today we celebrated Divali at school. For the occasion we had a small cathering before lunch break where a friend of mine would talke a little bit about the traditions. Then we had a fashion show exhibiting the different types of Indian clothes. I walked the assembly with a saree that day and also performed a traditional indian dance which combined the diya dance and the dandiya (Dancing with sticks) along with three other girls. It was really fun to be able to share my culture with the school.
